Structure and Process
AVT was created as a virtual company with a centralized management staff overseeing daily operations and a large pool of independent contractors located across the country producing transcripts.

Projects are assigned by a manager to individual transcribers, who tape the original events and transcribe their tapes into MS-Word documents. These documents are sent to the operations department in e-mail attachments, which are then proofread, edited, and sent to clients in their requested format.

AVT currently contracts with over 60 transcribers who have the capacity to record dozens of live audio/video/web conferences simultaneously and produce transcripts in 24, 48 or 72 hours.
